Re: Big trucks?
Here's my 47 COE - I'm not planning on restoring it as it's probably not a great candidate for it. The body has no rust but the frame is heavily pitted. I've been told it was a coal truck in Boston at one time which would account for the rust from winter use. I think it had a coal body or dump box on it at one time but that's speculation with very little evidence.
Internally, it still has the 59A flathead but has a Stromberg, '42 distributor and 12V neg ground generator. Other than that, pretty close to stock. COE Dan |

Re: Big trucks?
This is my 36 1-1/2 ton. I bought it several years ago when I was searching for a 1/2 ton 35/36. It was in such good shape I could not resist. I played with it awhile and then put it away to concentrate on other projects. It's now time to work on the truck. She has the flathead V-8 and runs well, the non-synro 4 speed makes the truck a bear to drive on the road. I have gathered all the parts for a T-5 conversion. I am also considering converting to juice brakes and possibly narrowing and shortening the bed. Interested in any ideas or input.
The little guy is my grandson. I'm already working on making him a car Guy!

My 41 COE. Resto in progress. Piece by piece. Trying to keep it drivable throughout the restoration. Doors and fenders are getting attention this winter.
