There are way too many "driverless" cars out there now,,,occupied only by warm meat behind the wheel.

Yea the two tesla things are unfortunate. Guess they need to aim a sensor up higher (low car VS middle of semi trailer with 4 feet or more of clearance in the middle)

Self driving cars in rural areas can be a good thing - think of all the elderly that cant drive anymore and forced to move into town or retirement home - these are the people who do not have any type of public transportation at their disposal.

Yea im mad no US vehicles are manual trans anymore besides higher end sports cars or econoboxes (if you can find one in stick) the auto makers claim its because noone wants one. I for one say they should still offer it for the rest of us who enjoy driving. Such a shame not a single full size truck comes in manual trans anymore...

I worked in computer technology from1965 until I finally retired in 2013. I do not think that one computer application I was involved in, with the exception of the Internet, benefited mankind one iota.

well, the internet is a HUGE exception.

has completely changed world communication. How many people send a stamped letter any longer?
internet sales are going up and brick and mortar down-though that may not be good, it is faster...............one can get more done in a day.
dont know where I would be wo my computer.......... certainly not here!

I'd have to add taking and storing digital pictures to the list.
