FRT Brake rod question?
hello
As you may know by now i am doing the brakes on my 30 two door. t replaced everything in the frt brakes and used the flat head ted deluxe kit. On one side the arm is still vertical. The other is 15 degrees I used new wedges and new brake rods what do i need to look at before i put pills in the wedge. i have spent to must time and money to stop short now. thank you kevin |

If the tracks are worn, this allows the shoe rollers to sit lower meaning the wedge has farther to travel downward before engagement. Also, make sure the rollers are within specs in both ID and OD diameters, and the pin holes are not worn, -either in the roller or the shoe. . . |

looking at the wheel from the side the are is forward towards the front of car. i replaced the wedge and the rod both are new the rt side is fine the lt side the are is vertical i do not have a welder. both the pin and wedge are new the arm is not loose on the shaft. kevin |

Also, check to see if your spindle has any up and down play. If it has play the arm will have more play when hanging free,if the car is jacked up under the axle.
