differential oil
I rebuild my differential and now it is time to fill it up. The fill is on the down side of the pumpkin and I don't see how to get oil in it. Any ideas? Thanks Jack

Re: differential oil
You just want to fill it to that hole that faces the rear of car. Pour it in 'till it starts to run out. That is the full point.

Re: differential oil
The closest modern gear lube I've found to the original (almost similar to SAE 250 wt.) is Lubriplate SPO 299 or Meropa 1500 good for yellow metals without a lot of additives. The others on the market seem to flow like modern SAE 140 wt oil. (Lot's of discussions/ opinions in other threads about this subject).

Re: differential oil
600W On a rebuild, I fill mine before I install then top or drain as needed when in the car. Flip it over and use the drain plug to fill.

Re: differential oil
The 600 weight from the vendors comes with an additional spouted cap, like a mustard or honey bottle. You can also get a cheap squeeze bottle at the dollar store. Chap
