Default Ardun Head Model B engine in Model A Racer

Interesting Model A Based Racer with Ardun Head B engine on prewarcar.com website I thought the Barners might like to see it

They call it a Forgatti as it has a Bugatti style body!!

I have never seen an Ardun head on a B engine before what a Lovely engine

The price in US $ would be about $75,000

Some one smarter than me will figure out a link to it

The "Ardun" 4Banger is a modern design someone made within the last few years, Duntov had nothing to do with it, he just had his rocker cover design stolen. Bob

The Ardun head uses the basic Duntov architecture adapted to the 4 cylinder block. It is produced by a current manufacturer and is a unique casting, it's not from back in the day.

Looks like I need to hunt and peck faster!

Probably not a casting , Probably uses 3 plates machined and sandwiched together.

Just based upon the intake manifolds design and intake port profile (mounting flange) this looks to be more like one of the heads that Norm Frick produced and not a new casting. These are TOTALLY machined from a solid block of aluminum and then the upper & lower sections are bolted together, and they came with what ever style valve cover you wished to engrave, or in this case - a reproduction Ardun valve cover casting was used and adapted to his cylinder head. I have one, a Rutherford.......

The heads are junk. I ran one. They use valves that are no bigger then the stock in-block valves. Very poor air flow. Rocker arms wore out in less then 500 miles. The flathead I'm running now has better performance. IMHO a worthless P.O.S.

The car looks very well built!!!
