I don't think so...hopefully Dave will chime in on this one.

Would the number stamps used for the serial number on the frame be the same for the assembly numbers on the cross frame? In the picture the 3 and 9 don't look right. could someone have stamped these later on?

Ed,

I to have seen many of these numbers and a majority of what I have seen is NO...they do not match those that were used on the engine or the chassis.

Have seen some bigger than others also.

I wish Dave Sturges could chime in here as he is the Model A/AA guru of these assembly plant codes and numbers. I know Dave has a data base going on in trying to figure this "mystery" procedure out since there is no known FORD data to tell us "the rest of the story".

Tom,
Are you sure the number came from a Deluxe Tudor?
I just don't have enough information to say that Ford kept track of the deluxe vehicles when stamping the body codes. Do we know if they did the same for the Deluxe Coupes and Roadsters? The number does seem very high.

Dave, I saw the car a few years ago in Excellsior, MN and I'm pretty sure it was a delux. The adjustment handle can be seen in the picture. It was a good, almost all original car as I recall.
