1930 & 1931 Victoria
I would like to purchase a Victoria and I'm studying the details of this body style. My question, is there storage room behind the back of the rear seat? Does the back of the seat fold down? Thank you, Ed

Re: 1930 & 1931 Victoria
Hi Ed,
The rear seat backrest is hinged at its bottom, so it pulls open a few inches at the top. The arm rests limit the opening available for passing storage items, so storage space is relatively small. There is room for blankets, a jack and handle and a small tool bag. I keep a spare cylinder head gasket there also. You need to have a carpet on the bottom of this space as it is over the rear axle, so items will bounce and rattle. A more generous storage space is under the rear seat bottom.

Re: 1930 & 1931 Victoria
the back of the back seat has a pair of hinges and a spring latch on the top it will come forward about 10" or so when you remove the seat bottom. it will NOT fold down there is a little area back there that you can store things like a small beg or like me a extra head gasket. also under the bottom of the rear seat there two nice little cubby holes where you can store a jack and parts.

Thank you for your replies. I haven't seen this detail posted in any of the club magazines. Ed

Re: 1930 & 1931 Victoria
Not much more to add which hasnt already been stated, but my car doesnt have the arm rests and the seat is able to come up quite a bit. I like it because I'm able to put my jack and tools behind there and keep the footwell clear.
