8ba dizzy
crt performance offers a drop in, no additional box electronic dizzy for the 8ba complete with both mechanical and vacuum advance, 3 wire hook-up, for $160.00. seems almost too good to be true even chinese made, which i'm sure it is. the company feed back is excellent. anyone had any experience with these? thanks for the input!

Re: 8ba dizzy
Until someone installs one and determines if it's timing curve is truly suitable for the flathead, there's no way to know if they are any good.

Re: 8ba dizzy
At our shop, over the years, we have seen problems with electronic ignition conversions. Old cars tend to have poor system voltage control which affects stability of the units. The original Ford distributor is practically "bullet proof". Unless you are using the engine for racing, the best is still the stock unit in good shape and properly adjusted.

Re: 8ba dizzy
Much easier to replace a condenser than a distributor.
