Default coil and plugs

Where is a good place to get coils for a 41 v8 I have a good one on it but would like to have one to carry with me also I have autolite 216 spark plugs in it they seem to be working well dose anyone have any different choice or better choice of plugs

I use 216 Autolites, they are cheap and easy to get.

My recommendation would be to find a good used coil (e.g., on eBay) and have it rebuilt by Skip Haney. Autolite plugs are a good choice.

Ditto on both Geiger and 4d........I use Autolites too and keep spare Skip coil in my onboard tool box.

If you want to use the "stock" coil, a Skip Haney rebuilt is the way to fly. Autolite 216's are also my sparkplugs of choice. I use them in all our Flatheads, '39 - '53 with stock heads. On our '47 with Offy heads I use Autolite 437's.
