Default 1937 ford running boards question.

I am looking to buy a set of '37 ford running boards and was wondering if they will fit all '37 models? I have a club coupe and the set of boards were going on a humpback. I look on Bob Drakes site and it says '37-39 are the same and will fit? I wonder if there is a difference between the deluxes and standards? my club coupe is a deluxe..it has sedan doors, so you would imagine it would fit? any knowledge would be appreciated..thanks!

Yes, and they all have the holes in the steel foundation running along near the bottom edge (but not in the rubber covering) for installation of the stainless steel moldings should your '37 have them.

About Drake's boards, this may be outdated info by now, but he used to boast rubber vulcanized to boards as original, which was misleading at best: What he had was precured rubber, (possibly what he also sold separately), which was then rebonded to boards under autoclave pressure, within mylar vaccum bags. This operation bonded well, but not quite as original as could be seen on the underside, where the original rubber had oozed through the board's bonding holes, but the repop did not, having already been cured in the prior operation. However, those holes did exert a sucking to the rubber, which was visible on the finished board's surface as small indentations in the ridge pattern of the rubber. This was a number of years ago, I do hope the problem has been resolved in the years since?
