Ooh...'Luminum 8BA?
Sniffin'-around on the internet this morning while looking for something else, I came across this one lone picture of what appears to be an aluminum 8BA block. What's really interesting is the EXTRA ports on the top, intake surface that appear to be EXHAUST ports....? Pretty damned sure this ain't the Kirby block. Hmmm! DD

Look at the furthest most bore on the right. I'd say that'll be a leaker as is. LOL.

Re: Ooh...'Luminum 8BA?
Looks like it was CNC carved out of a big block of aluminum, not cast.

Re: Ooh...'Luminum 8BA?
It looks like a piece from bay area engine modelers club. They create all different types of engines in miniature and start them up on display stands

Re: Ooh...'Luminum 8BA?
That engine deserves to be in something other than a display case. Motor scooter maybe.

Re: Ooh...'Luminum 8BA?
That is based on Ron Main's "Flatfire" engine design. Ron's is turbo charged though.

Re: Ooh...'Luminum 8BA?
Actually, I think Ron Main's was a belt driven centrifugal supercharger - believe it was a Vortech. His block had extensive welding done to bring the exhausts out of the top . . . think the work was done by Dick Landy. Quite an engine and a heck of a streamliner platform to put it in.
