My homemade cam nut remover
I know you can buy these for less than $20 but I needed one the other day and decided to make one using my CNC plasma cutter. It worked great with an impact wrench.

Re: My homemade cam nut remover
Looks great but I would have welded an old socket to the thing instead of a bolt. That way you never need to look for one to remove the cam nut. Just a thought.

Re: My homemade cam nut remover
Bill's Engineering-001---When I need a special gizmo, instead of fabricating it, I search my junk/friend's junk and find an existing gizmo that can be modified to use in place of the original planned gizmo! Who is RUBE GOLDBERG???

Re: My homemade cam nut remover
Rube Goldberg, I believe, was an overzealous inventor who was not satisfied with just using the bare necessity of something to accomplish a chore, but rather add as much to in the way of weight, complication, over engineering, and confusion to the set-up or execution of an invention. He probably was loved at the patent office.
