Hershey Wednesday
Good foot traffic. I found 1 Eastwood tent. Alot of spots filled in and had good items.
People were finding what they were looking for. Cars were selling, signs were selling. Hardly any golf carts but plenty of little scooters running around. Sales were very poor, just small stuff. Had lookers not buyers. Hopefully today will be better. Car corral was loaded with people. My sandpaper guy in the Orange field is gone, replaced by a smaller outfit. The carburetor guy with the yellow signs from Florida. ..passed away. R.i.p Other vendors have downsized. Half the food vendors are missing. The ones here shut down about 4pm. Only 1 vendor flying a balloon. I stood on the bridge about 1pm. The road was empty except for a couple of cars. Hershey has and is changing right before our eyes. |

“Hershey has and is changing right before our eyes.”
Haven’t been in four years now. But there for 39 prior. Don’t need anything; can sell anything for sale right out of shop! …need to stay in shop and work. I’ll be 74 in 3 days. Fond fond memories… started focusing and excited by July4! Dylan sang “times they are a changing”… how true. How would I recognize Hershey if I hardly recognize my own country? I was once told you know you are old when you like everything better the way it was! Times they are a changing! |

Re: Hershey Wednesday
I heard two of the Hershey region volunteers talking about the changes coming for next year. Next year the car show will be on friday as Herco wants the parking lot back so they can keep Hershey park open for more weekends in the fall. I'm not sure what that will do to the swap meet.

Re: Hershey Wednesday
I already achieved my flea market selling goal ---50% by weight or volume
Got some good deals on tools, got some NOS parts at 1/10 of reproduction parts prices More vendors than I expected I figured big companies can't get workers at home so it is hard for them to staff a booth, but I am not here to buy wax. The weather has been near perfect, warm, even at night, no bright sun reduces eye strain |

Re: Hershey Wednesday
Oh I wish I was there,,,,,,,,,. If someone sees a nice running engine for sale for a 1930 let me know. I'd be willing to make a dash up there. Of course I wouldn't want a ragged out heap.

I wasn’t in Nam, I was offshore by about 100 miles, courtesy of the US Navy.
