Default weatherstrip issue

I use 3M black weatherstrip adhesive for m front door seal on my 37. It stuck great to the door and not at all to the weatherstrip. What is best way to clean or modify the surface so it will adhere? Thanks in advance

Zip over to Lowes or Home depot and buy a little can of "GOOF OFF". It removes adhesive and glue. Not expensive. Your weather strip might have some mold release on its surface.

Gosh, I graduated from Oswego Teachers College (Industrial Arts) in 1967. Still remember those brutal winters with the deep snow and wind blowing off the lake. Worked at Northern Steel Corporation and the Oswego Speedway as a ticket taker back then. Steel company owned by the Caruso brothers is long gone but, it was a big deal at the time.

Thanks, It has to be something on he weatherstrip. Oswego speedway still a big deal, has new owners. College buildings on the lake are all new and connected. Always a cold wind here. and finally I know the Caruso family personally. Ernie
