A repeat thank-you to the forum
So, today went out to start and take our '42 Sedan, Eleanor, for a ride. On hitting the starter all I got was a click and nothing. My first thought was dead battery, so went to find my jump starter which wasn't charged. Plugged it in to charge overnight and sat down to read the new EV8 magazine.
Then I remembered having a similar problem about a year ago, so went out and checked the battery voltage which was 6.3v. A ha, put it in 3rd, went around back and push/pulled a bit and tried it again. Voila - started right up. Stuck Bendix. A year ago this forum helped me work through the same problem which I could short-circuit this time and go directly to the solution. Thank-you again.
