Default Wanted 30/31 Single Bulb Reflectors OEM

City: Plymouth
State: WI

I am looking for a nice set of original 30/31 single bulb headlight reflectors and hopefully sockets, etc. I need something that is good enough to polish up and not require re-plating.

Maybe you have some old headlights sitting around with messed up shells but good original internals...or maybe you changed out your original reflector parts for halogen?

Any and all help appreciated.

Thanks! Mike

I think you have more courage than I; any time I tried to polish that soft silver
layer, nothing remained! but brass!

Perry,
If I find a good set of reflectors, I was thinking of trying the silver polish that just requires dipping in a solution...I think there is a piece of metal or something that goes in the solution with the part. I saw it somewhere for fine silver....need to do some more research. I am sure you are correct that the original silver plating is awfully thin and probably can't stand up to too much conventional polishing. THX Mike

Hopefully you have connected. I think another concept might be to simple have a dull pair replated. Am thinking you might pull that off yourself with a little research. I know in college chemistry I was told to plate an iron nail to determine how much copper sulphate? was in a solution and the nail sure did take a pretty copper color plating. Steady voltage was key.
