Outlaw country, Hair Nation and Octane. Sometimes that "Garage" station, until the dj starts their 20 minute yapping every 4 songs.

My local country music radio station has a good mix of classic and modern country. Bit of variety does you good, apparently.

This got me thinking of the changes in car music. My 32 didn't come with one (I know it was an option but that was like wiring your philco to the battery). The idea of listening to anything the radio in your car was brand new. Then was the idea of getting a couple of stations with big watage that you could listen to all over the county. static was ok if you kinda could hear the music. Then tapes and actually deciding what you wanted to listen to.(remember a suitcase full of tapes in the backseat to bring 50 songs with you. Now you can listen to any of 100 stations, and drive 8 hours without changing the channel.... or carry a thousand songs in your shirt pocket. Makes you wonder whats next don't it?

Sports Radio if there is cricket or rugby on, or The Coast (50's-70's music).

I gig in two pro bands, one 50s r n r, one country (I play upright bass and sing) so I seldom listen to music in the garage or the car. Kinda enjoy the quiet..... and the high pitched whistling in my ears...
