I reduce my pictures to 800 x 640 ish and they load pretty good.
Hope that helps.
I use Photo Resizer HD. But I am sure there are many ways to do the same work.
Your mileage may vary!

You need to reduce the Pic size on your computer ..Some computers simple as clicking on Edit when pic is in computer file and reduce by 75 % ..then retry to upload..

Sometimes just cropping and saving the photo will reduce the size enough to upload it. I use Photoscape on my windows pc, it has a feature to bulk change a group of pictures to 800x600 or whatever you choose.

This is a post I made a while ago to use "Paint" to resize.

https://www.fordbarn.com/forum/showp...1&postcount=16

- right mouse click on the picture on your computer
- Select "Edit"
- Microsoft "Paint" opens
- select the "Resize'' button
- Select "Pixels"

- put in 800 in top box
- Check off "retain aspect ratio" Attached Thumbnails
- Now "Save as" with your smaller picture.

Hi Everyone, JSeery, you have the correct info from the forum software. But I routinely post pics that are 1600 in the widest dimension. Mileage varies with every pic, but the 800 x 600 on .jpg's is not a hard limit, is what I'm adding.

If you have a windows PC check to see if you have the Snip and Sketch feature.
If you have, display the image on your screen, fire up Snip and Sketch and drag the cursor around the part of the image you want to show. (Can be all of it if not too big).
Save that as a new file and post the new file to the barn. The images saved in this way are always small enough to display here.
It's the easiest method I've found lately.
I do all my work on an old fashioned PC so this may not be applicable to many new fangled devices.
Mart.

I have noticed that as well, but it seems to be inconsistent. Anyway, you can use trial and error, but the chart of size limits is a good starting place.
