And yes, as the disc wears, that dimension will change but should stay fairly even with one another.

This is the proper rig for setting clutches ,My supplier insisted that unless my fly wheel was faced he could not offer a solution for the jumpy clutch he supplied. I pulled the clutch out and set it up on the jig ,yes one finger was low ,took the jig back to show him ,Woopty doo . I wouldn't trust any one without checking .you could maybe use the diaphragm one ,and a vernier .Ted
