Default E J Walton custom body Model A Roadster

Thought Ford Barners might like to see this ; It has a copper plated cylinder head and a handbuilt Ally body. I don't know how to post a link to it but someone here will.

Here's your link: Walton Body A Roadster
The personal lock lid privy on the back looks to have a rather cold seat.

At a national meet, would that be in the modified class?

I saw this car up close and personal when it was being restored here in Asheville back in the 1990's. The second owners, John and Ralph Young lived near by and did the restoration in their basement garage. Craftsmanship of the original construction by Mr. Walton was top notch. If you have Peter Winnewisser's book "The Legendary Model A Ford" there is a picture of this car on page 84.

I an intregued by the fuel pump. Went searching for info on it but no luck. I could live without the chrome head nut covers and twisted square oil return. I notice that the water pump has been modified and there is some kind of tubular looking band at the head gasket area. What it is?

I walked around the car at Hershey, very nicely done, I liked the door treatment. I wonder if it was painted originally. Was this built on a new chassis, or some time after the Model A was produced, nice unique piece of history. Bob

Hyman had this vehicle on display at Hershey this year. The level of detail is amazing. One of the more interesting things to me was even the crank hole cover was customized to fit the customized radiator apron.

The headlight bar is pretty cool too.
