Where do you attach the Fordomatic dip stick tube bracket?
I haven’t been able to find where you attach the bracket that supports the Fordomatic dip stick tube.
And while I’m at it, I noticed the stick did not go all the way to the end of the tube so I assume the fluid rises up into the tube where the dip stick will show the level? |

Re: Where do you attach the Fordomatic dip stick tube bracket?
On my '55 there are 3 bolts holding the starter to the bell-housing. The 'middle' bolt, closest to the exhaust pipe, has the support bracket for the Fordomatic dipstick tube housing and also a support bracket for the lower end of the road draft tube fastened to it.
Yes, the fluid rises up into the tube. . Last edited by dmsfrr; 10-29-2020 at 03:04 PM. |
