Default Trying to ID parts

So I am in the middle of a clearout and came across these few items which I need to ID before I can put them into the classifieds.

Can anyone help out?

1, heavy duty truck gearbox. - only any use to someone with a truck.
1a the truck box has a separate bellhousing (known as a hogshead) These are useful in themselves for transmission adaptions.
1(maybe b) the gearstick might be for the truck box. Not sure.

2, the rear mount may be 3 speed applications 37-48 something like that. Is there a part number cast into it? (The distance between the mounting holes in the ears is the important detail)

3, Look like 35 or 36 spindles. Cross steer, not round, must be later than 34 and earlier than 37 so 35 or 36.

Most parts are relatively low on the desirability stakes so price accordingly. The hogshead is a useful item though, probably worth separating it from the box.

Thanks Mart.

That gearbox weighs a TON! so I will probably separate it from the hogshead and look for a truck forum and offer it to anyone that wants it free. First person to collect gets it.

Many thanks for input on the others. The rear mount has a 7085 on it and a 10" spread between the mount holes so I think that means it is a 37-40 mount.

The fact that the transmission has a separate hogshead narrows it down to certain years. Not sure off the top of my head but it might help you when describing it. You might be able to google it or someone on this forum ought to be able to say.

Edit: From googling some post mentioning the hogshead it sounds like they started using it in '48.

Those hogsheads adapters sell pretty good on ebay as do the cluster gear out of the 4-speed. ebay ain't so popular on here, but you do have a large market including many international Ford enthusiasts.

The hogsheads go for $100 to $150 and sometimes more depending on condition.

Specifically '36 spindles due to the steering eye spacing and snout style.

The same internals , cluster, mainshaft gears, reverse idler, selector forks and shafts etc. are interchangeable with the Dodge (New Process) WC series, 4 speed crash boxes of WWII. Post war Clark used them in small manual forklifts'
The spigot (input) shaft and mainshaft are not the same (Ford and Dodge) There are two different main shafts in the Ford box. A short one for the enclosed drive shaft and a long one for the open type prop. shaft.
I have never seen the one with the removeable bell housing (Hogshead)
