1930 Cabriolet 68B vacuum lines and windshield
I am getting ready to put in the windshield. Do I need to put in a vacuum line before installing my windshield? There is some channel by the inner header of the windshield that I think may need a vacuum line.
My car didn't have any vacuum lines when I got it so not sure where they go or if they can be installed with the windshield in? Thanks

That just might depend on what assembly date you are declaring. Do you have an oval or round speedo? My 1930 is a February build thus it has an electric wiper.

your vacuum line is like the coupe or tudor, it goes in behind the right hand side windshield molding. I would install the windshield hinge first then the vacuum line the nice thing about the Cabriolet's is, you can install the hinge and slide the windshield into place. I also like to install the moldings around the windshield before installing the windshield.

Re: 1930 Cabriolet 68B vacuum lines and windshield
JW,
You have helped me a lot. I will see if my moldings are OK to put on first. Is there some vacuum line from the firewall up inside to the right side windshield edge where there are gaps in the metal and where from there? I see reference to under gas tanks, but I also see that channel at the top of the header behind the windshield that could hold a tube or a wire? Thanks for advice.

Does the vacuum hose actually go into the small upper header channel or does it go on 3 special clips that are attached to the windshield hinge?

under the three clips then out the hole in the windshield frame to the wiper motor.
