Default correct finish

Hi guys need a little help with the front backing plate blots and nuts, I see in early years they were cadium plated but what about mid 1930 for a pickup. Still cad or plain metal or painted black ??? Thanks for any help

The finish you see when you buy new bolts. It like a sanding looking semi-gloss black. That's how I see it.
