I received an order for 2 water pump rebuild kits today (from one of the usual suppliers - but not Macs´!). These are for the 37´- 48´ style pump. Well, I found that both kits are missing the lock ring that fits in the groove in the end of the impeller (necessary to hold the seal assembly in place). This is part Ford´s original part number 8574.

Does anyone know where I might be able to source a new pair of these? Thanks in advance!

Been a long time since I've seen a kit that included them. They'll work fine without them . Just make sure when you put it together that the lugs on the seal are in the slots on the impeller so not to break the seal.
