Here is another very rare Ford Accessory, a 1933/1934 Ford Glove Box Radio Lid that I saw at a local Swap Meet a few years back.
I have never seen an Australian 1933/1934 Ford with an Accessory Radio, so seeing this Lid took me by surprise.

Yep - I was looking for a RHD Standard Fordor early 1934 Dash with the dash panel insert -Got to be one of the hardest things to find in the world right? Within in a week of looking one came up on a local auction site - I brought it Bet I never see another one for sale !

Good for you Karl. I like the idea that you can remove the whole thing for service, instead of wiggling around on you back under the dash

Trevor, Well you have not been looking hard enough because I have seen half a dozen Australian 1934 Ford glovebox radios with half of them in cars. You know that the Australian glovebox radio was made here in Australia and is quite different to the two American types. The front facia where the speaker is located is totally different as is the dial itself and also the chassis with the electronics. I have Australian adverts showing the radios. I dont believe the center control radio was ever sold here. Regards, Kevin.

I found the odd pointer in a Moto Meter speedometer on eBay (not mine):

Anyone know the application for this speedo?
