Default electric fuel pump.

Just got back from Klingberg Ct. car show and learned something new. On the way up a friends car died. Found bad electric fuel pump 12v. Another friend had a spare 6v pump and jury rigged it under the hood using a port right off the alternator and he drove the rest of the way up and back home without incident. That was about 110 mi total. I would have thought it would cook the pump using output right off the alternator which is I believe around 12.7v to 13.1v Go Figure.

Just the same as running original 6 volt starter and heater motor on 12 volts. Been doing it for years. ( they just run faster )
