Default heat sink

Has anyone used the special plate that goes under the carbs to reduce heat transfer from manifold to carbs? If so did you notice a difference with respect to mild flooding after sitting for an hour or so?
Thanks, Don

I live in the south and the temps hit the 100's. I use the carb spacers if I have not removed the intake and blocked the crossovers. It seems to help the boiling of gas in the carb when the engine has just been shut down
