I hope you got it from a reputable supplier. There is a long thread on the H.A.M.B. that indicates that quality has gone seriously downhill since they moved their manufacturing to Mexico. It also refers to warranty problems. I have had one in my '51 for at least 10 years and it's still good, but after what I've heard, I'd have to get a rock solid warranty before I bought another at that price.

I have herd that as well. They have extended the replacement period from 2yrs to 3yrs. I got it from Amazon and there was an issue some time ago about the warrantee if you got it from Amazon but optima has apparently fixed it. Hope I don't have to find out.If it last 8 more yrs it may outlast My battery.

Don,Amazon is what I used for my last Optima and definitely the best price. That eight years went pretty fast didn't it? I think that was about the last time I saw you in Ohio.
