Default '35 Front Fender brace -- thru inner panel?

My '35 coupe is a little rough underneath, and it's missing the 48-160/67 braces that run from the radiator mount up to the main fender braces. My question -- do these braces run thru that slot in the inner fender panel?

I'm going to need both these L & R braces.

I'd also like to find the main braces that include the headlight mount. This car has one early long brace and one of the shorter later braces that's had the outboard part of an early brace welded on. The crappy welding has tweaked the whole thing, which in turn has tweaked the angle of the headlight stand. GRRRR.

Yes, they run through the oval holes in the inner fenders

The brace on my 35 is a one piece. But this is a December 34 car, so very early design.

Give Michael Driskell a call at third gen automotive. I bought a nice pair of the 35
braces from him for my convertible sedan.

The early large front fender braces use an additional hole in the front fender lip. Later fenders don't have the lip and hole for the small carriage bolt. I have a RH early fender brace. You dont mention what side your looking for.

I found a pair of the later braces, with struts, from a gentleman here on the Barn this afternoon, so I'm now good. My car has one early, long brace, and one later short brace. Plus two later fenders with no tab on the lip. It's a Canadian VIN car that was "restored" by a museum in BC. The more I tear into it the more I'm convinced it must've been a museum for primates.

Yeah, that's one of the problems with museum exhibits...made to look good to the casual observer, but often times using any parts whatsoever
