1930 Model A Raffle
Just found out about Mike's Afordable raffling a 1930 Ford Tudor. The money goes to the Wounded Warrior Project. The drawing will be held on Dec 31 2011. It's a worthwhile cause.
Check out Mike's website at www.mikes-afordable.com for pictures and details. They told the Wounded Warrior Project that they hope to raise $10,000.00. They are at $7,500.00. Of course the more the better. Looks like a nice candidate for restoration. Let's get the Wounded Warriors some money to help our guys and gals. Mike's is a customer of mine, he's a great guy doing a great thing. Regards, Jack Beehler |

Re: 1930 Model A Raffle
I just got off the phone with Mike's and they say they noticed a nice bump in ticket orders. I assume that it's coming from you guys.
Here's hoping we can drive it to $10k. Thanks everyone Regards, Jack |

Re: 1930 Model A Raffle
Spoke with Mike this morning and he says that the response has been wonderful. Only $2k away from the original target.
Tickets are still available, there is no cut-off on tickets, they will sell as many as the demand calls for. Thanks to all that have pitched in for this worthy project. Of course now my odds of winning have gone down but that's ok. Regards Jack |

Re: 1930 Model A Raffle
Bought mine last week, but unless they meet the mark, the raffle may not happen on the 31st. I'm gonna make room in my garage, it'll look good between the 29 & 31......

Re: 1930 Model A Raffle
Since my garage is already full, I'll have to build "Bigger & Better Barns", (I'm sure there's a Scripture reference to that somewhere!)

Re: 1930 Model A Raffle
When I spoke to Mike he told me that the $10k was a target they would like to reach, but that whatever is sold by the 31st that the drawing will still take place, I'll call him again tomorrow to confirm that and let you know.

Re: 1930 Model A Raffle
I plan on buying one ticket. I called my Dad in Florida and told him about it, so he could buy himself a ticket. Opened the mail today and Dad sent me $50 to buy myself two more tickets. What a Dad!

Re: 1930 Model A Raffle
I can afford the ticket but doubt if I could afford to have it shipped to California. Great looking car.

Mike told me that last years winner was in California and he thought it was about $1,500.00 to get it shipped. (Just FYI)

Re: 1930 Model A Raffle
Great news from Mike's, Ticket sales have jumped, they have reached their original goal of $10k, now it's on to $11k.
I confirmed that the last day for ticket sales will be Dec 30, 2011. The drawing will be held at noon on Dec 31, 2011. Good luck to all. |
