Re: Here is something a little different
I saw one at the AMCA event in Rhinebeck,NY. a couple years ago with a V8-60 in it. Looked like a nice job of it. The guy was happy to talk price (30k) but when I started to look it over, he took off.
I guess he didn't want anybody seeing how it was built.....MARK

Have seen Harleys with Lincoln V 12 engines. Must be a hand full at a stop sign.

Re: Here is something a little different
I agree.. The wheels and suspension are sweet. I see a Harley transmission. Makes me wonder how they did that.
A little off subject for the barn but I have a history with V8 motorcycles. Now retired to a V8 trike. This is my last one.. 255793_2158242519272_4110226_n[1].jpg

Re: Here is something a little different
I saw one in a magazine 40 years or so ago, with a flatty and no transmission. They used a Corvair torque converter and some kind of angle drive.

Re: Here is something a little different
Yep.. He would have the rear wheel up on a stand and when the light would turn green They kicked it off the stand with the engine wound and tire spinning!! You can see the stand still on the bike in the bottom pic.

Re: Here is something a little different
Nope.. 600 hp 427 small block with a 100 shot. There really ARE worse hobbies than our beloved old fords. I was running very low 9s at 150-160 in the 1/4. Something to be said about that when your feet are out in front.. Makes the big end interesting to say the least. Something to be said about a 300 ft burnout at 70 too.. BUT.. comes a time in life when ya just gotta slow it down a little. Or at least add one more tire. This one is a 434 with a 100 shot.
