33/34 front shocks
I have just rebuilt a set of 33 shocks for my Mate,and have a pile of Houdaille info ,but nothing on setting force for the damping,
Would any one have such info. By the way ,shocks came out great with modern seals . Thanks Lawrie |

The March 1937 Ford service bulletin, page 438, stated, "All front shock absorbers are adjusted by the manufacturer for 1400 inch pounds resistance and rear shock absorbers for 2450 inch pounds resistance." I assume these values are for the 1937 shock absorbers, but at least it may give you an idea of the resistance for the 33/34 shocks.

They sure came up nice. I have some picks of the farm I went to in the model A last week and picked up a diff for the 33 spare.its on my newer post Lawrie |
