Others more experienced than I will surely jump in, however I'm in the process of converting a '51 Tudor to 12v and here is what I'm learning: the starter will work as will the solenoid. The generator can be converted, the regulator will need to be replaced with a 12v unit. I'm going to an alternator which will eliminate the reg. Voltage drops such as the Runtz will be needed for instruments, depending on whether you have an amp or volts instrument (you didn't state what vehicle you have) leads may need to be swapped. Of course all light bulbs need to be swapped, I'm going to swap to 12v blower motor. I'm sure there's other points to consider as I have not completed this journey yet.
