Default Window removal tips?

I have the passenger window removed from the car and I ordered new glass. I need to remove the old glass from the metal channel and install the new glass back into the channel. Any tips or tricks to accomplish this without breaking glass would be appreciated.

I carefully place glass on a piece of carpet, use a wood dowel tap the channel .
it almost requires two people. One to hold glass and one to drive channel from glass.

Using a lot of WD-40 helps too.

Be sure to measure and locate the channel and window to their original relation, if you are off the glass will bind on the up or down extremes.
