hi guys me and wifey are at the moment in a great ski lodge at mammoth lake about an hour from Yosemite, we drove the 70 miles through the park on our way to here after a 3 night stay at san Francisco and will be here till Tahoe on sunday, after the hustle bustle and the tourism of frisco and an 11 hour flight from the u.k the long drive to here was peacefull and pleasant and mammoth is out of season (no snow ) so quiet with great scenery, (gas at almost 5dollars a gallon here ...almost as expensive as the u.k) looking forward to the event and hopefully bump into old friends ....cheers jim.

Not exactly Ford Barn friendly or V8 Club Friendly but it's the car I want to bring since it's been off the road for a year . We missed it !!!!

See everyone there !!! Mike & Amy

Mike, that's a beautiful roadster. I think most members of the V8 Club and Fordbarn will love seeing that car at Tahoe....I know I will.
The folks on the Grand Tour to Tahoe arrived at Price, Utah yesterday afternoon/evening. It was a very scenic drive from Rock Spings, Wyoming to Price, Utah. Most all of us had the dreaded vapor lock problem yesterday due to heat, altitude, and corn gas, plus the wind has been pushing us all over the road for the last two days of driving. BUT...make no mistake, we are all having a great time on this tour!!
Hope to see you all soon at Tahoe.

Hey Ken, Redneck said he sent his money in for next year, he didn't say anything about a Grand National... He's a member of the EFV8 Club, I'm sure he knows what the program is... Like my Grandmother always said..."if you can't say something nicce, shut the hell up!

Be sure to visit the museum and the Bucket of Blood Saloon if it is still there.

For those not going over the hill to Virginia City, take a tour all the way around the lake and be sure to see Emerald Bay and the island with a tea room in the bay. Lots of great restaurants around the lake.

Also drive over to the nearby Zephyr Cove and take a cruise on one of the paddle wheeler boats, the MS Dixie II or the Tahoe Queen.

And, if you are playing the slots, they no longer take coins, just insert your credit card and be aware that the cocktail waitress that you see around the slots will give you free drinks, just be sure to give her a tip.

Trivia - Lake Tahoe is very deep and if California was flat, the lake contains enough water to cover the entire surface area of California in 14" of water.
Hope this is not out of line, Please point me to a good gun shop,Reno area, some shopping/swapping to do,... thanks..... OLD...BILL

Redneck,
Wife Carol spat the dummy today when I said about how every one is driving to the meet,
We are planning to come to the Gettysburg event next year.
Now how can I get our 33 over to the USA so we could really have a memorable trip.

spat the dummy is an English and I guess Australian term for being... very unhappy ...going into one .. very not agreeing with what has been told ...a dummy is a babys pacifier(bad spelling)...we in the u.k say spat the dummy out of the pram, hope that helps , cheers jim.

Lawson, dont tell me you never spat the dummy when you were a kid.
My grand daughter spits hers out right out of the pram.

We made it ti S L City today and the wife did some family research at the Mormon center. We stop at Battle Mountain tomorrow night and arrive in Tahoe Monday midday. The only thing that got to hot besides us was the gas but if I raised the hood when stopped there was no problem.
