30 coupe rear shocks
Hopefully I have attached 2 photos.
The shocks I have on this coupe which I have owned for 35 years didn't have the links on or attached. I know I need the grease rubber, the retainer and the grease fitting When I connected the link,it's not vertical Is this the correct shock, and if so, is the link installed correct in this out of vertical position ? If not the correct shock, I would like to put a double bend in the arm to line up with the bottom shock ball. This car is not a show car just a fun car to drive. And I'm not interested in spending big money on new or rebuilt shocks. My fronts are correct. Thanks Tom |

Re: 30 coupe rear shocks
Those are V8 shocks. If you use them on the front they will probably hit the brake rods.

Re: 30 coupe rear shocks
See my second post for the picture of the shock.
My front shocks are not a problem. I guess what I'm hearing is that the shock in the picture.... 2 nd photo.... Is not for a 30 coupe. What do you guys think about putting the double bend in the arm so that the connection points line up vertically? |

Re: 30 coupe rear shocks
you can do that on the back. but if you do it on the front your brake rod will hit the shock, from 32 on up the shocks are to tall.

Re: 30 coupe rear shocks
Thanks PaulYou're the only guy that chimmed in.
I was just doing a sanity check that this shock is not a special $1000 shock before I butcher it Will heat, bend ,heat, bend until the link is vertical Tom |
