Default Quiet please...!!!!!

I just read 'mrraford's' post concerning the difference in mufflers. Brought to mind the fact that I am always bothered by the loud sound of my late model "cheapo" muffler when I first start it. Once we're on the road, she purrs like a kitten. Just wondering if I'm missing somthin' here....?

I've got a good seal between the muffler and the exhaust manifold flange,
(finally)

Might have something to do with one costing $100 and the "expensive" one nearly $300??

You know, I've been to some of the Model A events and even asked some of the Really Quiet Car drivers and they claim they have stock (but not Aries) mufflers.
