Post Re: 35,36 pickups

Here is the only '36 Ford 1/2T PU that I have ever owned and these are some pictures of that "daring" rescue mission. I'm sad to say that most all of this truck is now gone, but many pieces and parts were salvaged and have hopefully found new homes on various vehicles around this country and maybe even in some other countries If only my Dad could have been alive to see this one come home and I can't repeat here what my wife said JM

It IS amazing sometimes how women can have such exceptional taste in men and yet fail to share their men's obvious sound vision on new projects. My gal just says, "Whatever you think." Been a keeper for over 40 yrs.. I've got to keep her as I couldn't afford the payments on a second.

JM, I wish I knew the story on that '36 stakebed. I put an aftermarket on mine but my understanding is that Ford did not offer them until '37. That looks like an original set up on that one you drug out. Inquiring minds want to know.

Haven't had my 35 out much this summer but I will sooner or later. It does have a few things that it shouldn't have. I should but the original brakes back on.It was 12 volts when I got it.It runs nice on the road. Not to bad to look at either.

We have a 57k 38 running (V8-60) rolling chassis to put under it along with Eddie Meyer heads and dual intake with two stromberg 81's.

I love it...d32

36tbird, I wish I could tell you something about that stake bed. I really don't know or remember that much about it. I do remember that the stake pockets looked like they were professionally made and I still have them if anyone may be interested in getting them. JM.
