Default Edgewater NJ Model "A" Assenbly Line

https://footage.framepool.com/en/sho...-assembly-line

I stumbled upon this video. My 1931 Coupe was made in this plant. Of special interest to me are:
> Front fender with running board apron attached is installed on frame already having the running board;
> Downward tilt of headlamps;
> Leather-Back Victoria driving out of the plant dates this film to November 1930 - March 1931;
> Roadster has 1931 NY license plates.

I note some things in the film:
> All the wheels appear to be black;
> Radiator caps are the standard type - no Quails;
> Body when dropped onto the frame already has pin stripes.

Thanks for sharing Bob.

I sure would like to see THE REST of this 2:00 minute U-Tube Video.

There got to be more.

There are other assembly line videos out there in the same short context...again, it would be nice to see what has been cut out on these.

- Pin striping was usually done immediately after the bodies where painted, long before they 'met' the chassis.

Also notice the Goodyear flags are painted on all the tires.

Headlamps were aligned & focused at end of the line, hence the downward tilt beforehand.
Looks like the std. cars got the all s/s 'shell & Deluxes the new 3 piece at this time.
Great video. Those guys on the line had to work fast.

Tudortomnz, I noticed the same thing, there was quite a hustle on that line. Always amazes me how the parts just slid into place without all the hassle we go through today trying to get things to fit.
