Default 48 F1 Back Glass Too Big

I bought a new rear window for my 48 F1 and its too big to fit the opening. Its about 1/16 to 1/8 too wide along the bottom compared to the old one. The old one with the new gasket fits the opening. tight but it goes, but there is no way the new one will fit.

Does anyone out there know if it can be ground to fit? Its tempered safety glass ( DOT-682-AS2)

I had the same problem but with the windshield. The glass shop told me to put a piece of cardboard in the opening and trace it. Once I did that I took the cardboard and glass back to them and they sanded the edges so it would fit, however, my glass was not tempered. Call a glass ship to see if the can sand it.

Tempered glass donīt like to be messed with...lots of tension built in and when you get at the edge it will likely explode into thousand pieces.
