Default Eaton Radiator caps

I have a late 1931 Model A with some damage on the radiator cap. The cap has some dents in the top, so I need to separate the inner part of the cap from the outer top piece.
Does anyone know how to take the cap apart safely, without damaging it?
Thank you, Remi

You need to ask on the proper forum, this is for questions to the editor about the site not car questions.

Does it have a remote reservoir of coolant? This kind of top is evacuated by basically curving it counter clockwise.
