Ole 6 volt headlights in a 12 volt system
I have an old ford that has been converted to 12 volt and would like to use some very old headlights that were/are 6 volt. I can get the original bulbs and wondered if someone makes a 12 to 6 volt reducer that I could install for this purpose? I also wondered if anyone is aware of a company that can do minor repairs on these old bucket type headlamps as one lamp has a few brackets missing. I believe they may have been from a 1928 Hudson. The lenses are marked “Parabeam headlamp” and they are 10 inches in diameter. Any info, ideas or information are greatly appreciated, thanks

Re: Ole 6 volt headlights in a 12 volt system
The hightec version of converting 12v to 6v with small losses would be a Switched buck converter...lowtec version a big resistor burning of as much energy as the bulb itself.
