Default First try at pictures

Hope this works. This is my '30 TS which I finished two weeks ago after a seven year labor of love (and some frustration).

Bob--
I have a 1930 TS virtually identical to yours....it looks very nice...great job with it! I am sure you will enjoy it. They are very nice to drive and also pretty comfortable. I try and take mine out several times a week here in S. Calif. How about some pics of the interior when you get a chance?

The upper body is copra drab from the Paint and Finish Guide. The lower I call chicle but I know I will probably get some heat for that. I based it on the unrestored town sedan which you can see in the 6/7/10 post "unrestored 1930 town sedan". The wheels are as close to straw as I could get since I had the wheels powder coated in Phoenix and had to use his color chart. The paint is Dupont Ful-thane. I will try to get some interior pictures up. I discovered that the hard part is resizing them to less than 585.9kb.

A few more pictures. I need to find someone to stripe my tank. I did the exterior with scotch striping tape but cannot figure out how to make the sharp bends on the tank.

Greer, Arizona in the east-central part of the state. Sunrise ski area at over 11,000 ft is 10 miles from my house. We are at 8500 feet elevation which makes rejetting the carb almost mandatory.

Hey Uncle Bob!

Quite a difference from the car I saw about 5 years ago? How did you solve the problem with the wooden frame rail? (at least I think it was a frame rail, the lack of oxygen up there affected my memory I think)!

Oh yeah, any significance to the 12-27-1958 license plate up fromt....

Lou, I spliced a piece in there-simple scarf joint. Looks good, though no one will see it. The license plate says 1930 at the bottom. The 12 signifies the county. I think the other two numbers are random.

O.K. I was wrong about the plate. Here is the real decoding. The letter E in the upperleft corner is the county. E in 1930 is Yavapai county. Yavapai county was assigned a block of numbers. In 1930 their block was 120,000 to 130,000. This plate is 122,758. Why they separated the numbers by hyphens like that I don't know.
