Auto history
I RECENTLY bought a 1939 deluxe 2 door ford sedan in Chicago area. It was a frame off restoration and looks good. The dealer has no history and he bought it from another dealer who offers no history. For example was the engine rebuilt or was it just a paint job? The car was reported to be from Georgia. Is there a way to get history on such a car??? Jon Laing

Re: Auto history
Probably nothing available through the DMV but try posting a picture and see if anyone recognizes the car.

Good start asking here but as Charlie Stephens said "PICTURE'S Also Reverse the trail of the car. Get the name of the dealer that had the car before who you bought it from get the name of where they got it and so on. I think what you are hoping for would be some thing like Car Fax. I don't think any thing like that exists on cars that are repaired by there owners. |
