Default 48.....8-n ground cable

where does the ground cable bolt to...should have made more notes,,thanks to the guy that offered 5 gal of trans oil, but i'm in WVa

I believe, normally ground connects to engine block ... often one of the two bolts that hold the starter motor to the bell housing .... this helps the starter operate. Then there should be a ground from engine block to firewall/body .... plus better yet also body to frame.

No body nor firewall on an 8N!!

It uses one of the bolts that secures the battery tray to the dash support. I'll snap a picture for you....stay tuned.

Most of the N series, NAA, and 600/800 series bolt to the framing that the battery box and steering mechanism attach to.

My 8N is the same as 50droptop's picture. FWIW: I also have a 2N and a 9N. That's about three "Ns" too many.
