1931 camshaft question
Hello to all. I'm seeking an answer that I have yet to find, on the flywheel end of the camshaft is there a seal/plug of any sort or is the hole just covered by the bell housing. Come on engine builders you know the answer.....Thanks in advance

Re: 1931 camshaft question
Let me expand a little. There is a paper gasket that covers the entire surface between the engine and the flywheel housing. This is the reason that the horseshoe shaped shims are needed under the two bolts at the top of the flywheel housing. Don't leave anything out.

A quarter inch is machined off the back of the rear cam journal and a shallow cup plug is machined and installed in the hole. |
