Default Gas cqp vented or not
Building a '56 f100.I have the stock chrome gas cap.Question,because the tank is not vented...is the "stock "chrome style gas cap vented?

If the tank isn't vented independently then the cap has to be.

Yes they were, that's why you see gas stains under them on the side.

They are vented , mid fiftys carries stainless steel correct vented caps ,I just bought one for my 53 f-100 ,think it was around ten dollars.

All of the older carbonated vehicles were vented. Easy to tell what you have by blowing into it.....

Yes I believe they call them anti surge ,I'm using one on my 53 f-100 works fine.
