Seems like a heck of a lot work when you could do a hot flathead instead.

IMHO, I think using that motor ruins the car. I'd rather see a SBC in there than that Jag motor.

I truly loved the LUCAS wiring and electrical's many years ago in my AH100 and Jag XKE - NOT!!!!!

I rode Triumphs, BSA and Norton and don’t remember having issues with electrics..... or oil leaks..... Mark

I think if the engine was a foot further back and a six inches lower it might have been a good idea, but perched high and forward like that? The handling must have suffered.
