Default Question for 35 Ford Cabriolet experts

What holds the front backrest in place on the seat frame? Were they held in with hangers?
A Picture would be nice. Thanks

The metal seat pan has a lip on the rear and the backrest is bolted to it in 7 locations. The top of the backrest has a metal bracket to the side panels of the seat.

Thanks Terry. What holds the back rest spring to the wood frame? I want to replace the seat upholstery and on mine the backrest cushion and springs are just hanging by the fabric that is tacked to the top of the wooden frame. I would think it needs a couple of hangers to hold it in place.

I am not sure. I only believe the heavier round rods on the wood side of the spring set had metal clamps around them and the clamps had one screw each attaching the bottom of the spring set to the wood. My old wood backrest has several of the single screw holes I believe the metal clamps went around the rods and doubled back on each end.
